Adventures in Making an Old House Our Home

It was Love at First Sight

See photos of our first visit to Kraemer House.

And what it looked like on Closing and Moving in Day.

History of Kraemer House

Kraemer House was designated as a Berks County Historical Site in 1987.  Read why.

Our oak tree is historic too!  The Eltonhead Wye Oak, was planted by the Eltonhead Family circa 1975, in honor of their father, Robert Eltonhead.  It was a sapling from the Historic Maryland Wye Oak.

Goodbye Mantua

We loved our home on High Steet in Mantua, OH so much!  Rich has said that it is his ideal house.  For eight years, we gave it loving care and attention, and it was a wonderful home for us.  However, Kraemer House gives us the opportunity to restore another beautiful historic house.  In this section we'll preserve some of the good memories from High Street.
